Welcome to Waverton Evangelical Fellowship
Most people have a sense that the world — and their own lives — aren’t quite how they should be. We long for change, for healing, for hope. Why? Because deep down, we know this isn’t how things were meant to be. But this longing points to something bigger. The good news is: we’re part of a much greater story!!
God made us to live fully — to know Him personally, walk closely with Him, and enjoy His creation in peace and joy. He designed us for a life filled with purpose, love, and meaning.
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
(Genesis 2:7)
But humanity turned away. We rejected God’s way, choosing our own path. That decision brought brokenness into the world—pain, suffering, separation, and death. We see its effects all around us. And if we’re honest, we know we’ve made the same choice in our own lives—living for ourselves instead of our Creator.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)
Yet God didn’t leave us in that brokenness. Jesus Christ came to rescue us. He lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose again, defeating death once and for all. Through Him, God offers us forgiveness, new life, and a fresh start—completely free, but life-changing.
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
(John 10:10b)
…our Saviour, Christ Jesus… has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
(2 Timothy 1:10)
Each of us has a choice:
You can carry on running life your way, separated from the life God offers.
Or
You can turn to Jesus, receive His forgiveness, and begin a life with Him — a life of peace, purpose, healing, and joy that starts now and lasts forever.
If you’re ready to take that step, here’s how you can respond:
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(Romans 10:9)
Heavenly Father,
I’ve been living life my own way, and I see now how that’s hurt me and others. I’m sorry.
Thank You for sending Jesus to die for me, to deal with all my sin and brokenness.
Thank You that He rose again to give me new life.
Today I choose to trust You.
Please forgive me, fill me with Your Spirit, and help me live the life You created me for.
Amen.
